Wonderland Intl Training School ribbon cutting was held on Thurs. August 25th at 11am. Even though it was a raining day, the ribbon cutting and throughout the day was attended by more than 100 people! The Blessing and Prayer was done by none other than the Great Rev. Dr. Walter L. Glover who is a cousin of Mrs. Duncan. Also in attendance was Sheriff David Davis, Richard Robinson-owner of Robinson Funeral Home, Rolando Dixon- Asst. Vice President of American Pride Bank, Ashley Scott, Laura Cooper and Bertram Simmons representing the Greater Georgia Black Chambers of Commerce, Mark Childressowner of Middle GA Restorations, Tommy and Barbie Gray- owners of Elite Chariot Transportation Services and many other business owners, friends and family! This school was started in hopes to help to alleviate the critical shortage and crisis we have with caregivers in GA by Paul and Patricia Duncan. Patricia has been a RN for 29 years and has been traveling all over the State of GA training medication aides for the last 8 years. In a recent article dated March 2022. It states there are 7 Caregivers for every 100,000 residents in the state of GA which is the lowest ration in the nation. Also it is very disturbing being a small business owner to hear of facilities closing due to staffing crisis. The classes and training that is offered at WIC Training School is Certified Medication Aides, Proxy Caregivers, CPR & First Aide, Consulting and training on how to open Personal Care Homes, Adult Day Cares and Assisted Living Facilities. Our target group is anyone over the age of 18 that has the passion to take care of the elderly, sick and disabled. Also for individuals that has the desire to open their own facilities. We are in the process of sending our application to the State of GA to start an online Certified Nurse Aide Program.

Once a student gets his/her Proxy Caregiver Certificate they can work in Personal Care Homes, Group Homes and Adult Day Cares. Once an individual has received his/her Certified Medication Aide License they can work in a Personal Care Home, Assisted Living Community, Group Home and some Skilled Nursing Homes, etc. We currently have an Administrator Assistant and myself and the instructor and have 3 RN’s being processed to start with our CNA Program. We are looking for passionate LPNs and RNs to join our Team!
