Melinda Sylvester
Melinda C. Sylvester, A Faithful Servant who shares the Love of Jesus Christ; is the Founder/ President and CEO of The Greater Georgia Black Chamber of Commerce located in Fayetteville, serving the Great State of Georgia. Melinda’s chamber career started when she led the Greater Southwest Louisiana Black Chamber of Commerce, under her leadership GSLBCC won National Black Chamber of the Year for its Honorable Hurricane Katrina; using innovations and technology; assisted businesses in despaired and disrupted from New Orleans.
Clarence Sylvester
Clarence Sylvester an Oilfield Veteran with over 35 Years in the Oil Industry. Clarence's career afforded him to lead a drilling team worldwide: Brazil, Chad Africa, South Korea, Saudi Arabia , Kuwait, Canada, and Mexico. This afforded him a great understanding of different Cultures. Clarence experience includes Supervisor, responsible for drilling million of barrels of oil and millions of dollars of revenues.
Clarence was one of the first African American in the Oil Industry to manage a team on a Hi-Tech Drilling Ship. His Passion is to Enhance Workforce Development and Expand On The Job Training, which provided him with the opportunity to grow his Career Path. Clarence followed the Holy Spirit and relocated his family to Georgia. Clarence is the Quiet Storm by praying for and supporting his wife Melinda in GGBCC. His book will be published soon.
Lisa Landry
Lisa Ann Landry will tell you the technical and management expertise gained during her 14-year career at IBM was like earning a Ph.D. She holds master’s degree in management, from the Indiana Wesleyan University and completed post-graduate work at Walden University in Management and Decision Sciences.
Other experiences that serve her well today come from being a senior leadership consultant and certified executive coach. She has over 30 years of experience as world-class learning and development professional working with training companies as a master trainer delivering programs that ignite, inspire, and transform frontline personnel and executive leadership.
Linda and David Gunter
Linda and David Gunter are the founders of Love Him Love Them. They started as a non-profit in 1998 in the 5th worst crime ridden neighborhood in America. Vine City, Atlanta. As real estate investors at that time they had homelessness, drugs and prostitution thrown in their face on a daily basis. They wanted to make a difference. Then one day a homeless woman who had all of her belongings in a grocery cart came up to on the porch of their rental properties while the Gunter’s were inside working on the property. She wanted to know if she could stay in the house. After trying to get her into every one of the current homeless shelters in Atlanta only to learn there were no openings. The Gunter’s took that actual property the lady had come to and turned it into a homeless shelter.
Don Jaymaha
Professor Jayamaha is the current Managing Director of GemVault Fintech (PVT) Ltd and CFO at GemVault Coin. He is also a co-founder of Serendib - Treasures of Royalty, a traditional gemstone trading company in mainland China. He studied colored stones at GIA and was a Consulting Director at Vision Capital Group based out of the USA. He has been able to use his diverse experience in consulting, together with his knowledge of gemstones, corporate financial structure, human resources management, and early self-interest blockchain to spearhead the GemVault Coin project.
Clara Sylvester
Clara Sylvester is The Visionary of The Greater Georgia Black Chamber of Commerce and A Thought Leader who collaborates with GGBCC President/ CEO. Clara graduated from Louisiana State University. she received her bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Clara teaches English abroad, bringing her Global Experience to GGBCC.
Clara’s Passion is to Expand Education Experiences in the Underserved Communities and Build Bridges Amongst Different Cultures.
Clara is also leading an initiative to Engage her Peers who lives and work overseas to continue to Vote even though they are abroad. The initiative is: “ It’s Your Business To Vote!"
Clara is a former employee of Grady Medical Systems.
Veronique Thomas
Thomas is the owner of VThomas.CO DBA K'Unik Events & K'Unik Marketing. Born in Germany and considered country/creole by way of Georgia and Louisiana. Thomas has worked in the fields of Events, Marketing, and Project Management for over 20 years.
Her Motto: "Be Fearless" 2 Timothy 4:7
Nicole Chapman
Ms. Nicole Chapman, the face of Chapman Accounting and Tax Services, offers her clients more than 18 years of experience providing tax, accounting and audit services. Nicole works closely with many individuals, business owners, and small to medium-sized businesses. Previous clients served come from a range of industries such as real estate, professional services, for profit and not-for-profit. Nicole has never met a stranger and is a proud graduate of Shaw University where she earned a Bachelor’s in Accounting. When not hard at work, Nicole takes part in a number of service projects and enjoys spending time with her family.
Juanda Magwood-Ware
A native of Atlanta, Juanda, has lived abroad and traveled the world extensively, but finds home to be the best place to live and raise a family. She is a graduate of Fort Valley State College where she received her bachelors and Atlanta's John Marshall Law School where she received her juris doctorate degree. She has been married to her soul mate, Ken Ware, for 17-years and is most excited about her blended family of children and grand-children.
Anna Henderson
Anna Henderson, is a Business Development Manager and founder of HA Office 515, Inc., an office furniture dealership serving metro Atlanta and the Southeast Region for over 20+ years.
She was the first female President of the GA Black Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) in 2005 and served as president until 2012.
Her overall goal in the role of GGBCC Outreach & Small Business Advocate (OSBA) is to assist the new Greater Georgia Black Chamber organization and its leadership in bridging the gaps, to support economic growth for members, opportunities for the small business community, create corporate and government partners, and foster important relationships to create an environment where opportunity, equity, inclusion, and diversity is accomplished.
Freddie Hart
Freddie Hart is the founder of Frhart2 Enterprises, a marketing and business development company located in Metro Atlanta. Freddie’s company has worked with companies such as Chick-Fil-A, The Young Presidents Organization, Stablegold Hospitality, and many more.
Hart has also used his marketing skills to help Politicians that are running for office. In his most recent victory, he led the digital strategy behind Reginald Scandrett, The first Black Sheriff of Henry County.
Outside of business, Freddie is the Outreach Minister at First Baptist Snellville, where he focuses on connecting the church to the surrounding community.
His education comes from Shorter University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Marketing, and his Master’s Degree in Business Management.
He lives in Snellville, Georgia with his wife Chanel.
David Harris
Dave is a Risk Advisor for Sterling Seacrest Pritchard. He provides risk management and insurance solutions for clients in the sectors of healthcare, professional services, construction contracting, and private risk. His background in law also provides him with extensive knowledge in contract review and coverage interpretation.
Prior to joining Sterling Seacrest Partners, Dave worked at Regions Insurance Group and McGriff Insurance Services. He began his career in insurance defense litigation with Swift, Currie McGhee & Heirs and State Farm before serving as General Counsel for Resurgens Risk Management.
Dave is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Washington University School of Law.
Karlene Gordon
Karlene Gordon is the Diversity and Inclusion officer for Ameris Bank. She has over 20 years of human resource experience and most recently served as a senior human resources business partner since joining Ameris Bank in 2018.
Prior to joining Ameris Bank, Gordon was a human resources business partner for Live Person. She has held a variety of human resources roles throughout her career, supporting the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and HR Dynamics among other businesses. As a graduate of Queens College of New York, Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
